About Us

The department operates out of one station located on Center St. that protects a primarily rural area. This station was rebuilt and was officially opened on March 25, 2000, the hall was built by many hours of the dedicated volunteers and volunteer fireman and from the Memorial Fund in remembrance of Fire Chief Bill Black.

In the Community

The fire department is active within the community with its programs for Fire Safety for Schools, Fire Cadet Program that allows grade 9 and up students to learn on the job skills of being a fireman and the necessary training that it takes to become a fireman. The firemen are also instrumental in the Canada Day celebrations such as the parade, setting off of the fireworks, and the annual pig roast. They are active members in our community that serve to protect the residents and those in need.
